Preface

This book is aimed at all those who are interested to understand the self-organization and growth of branched crystal pattern mechanism in Belousov–Zhabotinsky (BZ) type oscillatory chemical reactions including all aspects relevant for physical chemists, chemical engineers, and materials scientists. The oscillatory BZ reaction is one of the systems which has laid a solid foundation in understanding many natural phenomena through the reaction–diffusion mechanism. This reaction has been used to study various nonlinear phenomena such as oscillation, excitability, chaos, spatiotemporal patterns, and propagation of chemical waves in different reaction conditions.
