Preface
Since 2003 the conference series Information Technology in Environmental Engineering (ITEE) has established a platform for discussing the progress in the field. During the 6th ITEE 2013 conference, practitioners and scientists met at the Leuphana University Lu¨neburg (Germany) to discuss recent developments, promising ideas, and new challenges in information management for supporting sustainability efforts. The 7th ITEE in 2015 was hosted for the first time outside of Europe in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
