Hepatitis: case report In a retrospective review (IRB-105066-E) of patients, who underwent latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) screening between January 2013 and April 2014, a patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed hepatitis while receiving isoniazid for prophylaxis for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). The patient who underwent LTBI screen showed positivity for interferon-gamma release assay (IGRA) tests. Consequently, the patient was treated with isoniazid 900 mg/day for 9 months [route not stated] as a prophylactic for MTB. However, the patient developed hepatitis secondary to isoniazid [time to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. Wang P-H, et al.
