Lithium Apoplectic insult: case report A 64-year-old woman with bipolar disorder, who had been receiving lithium [dosage not stated] for 33 years, was admitted with signs and symptoms of an apoplectic insult. She had a serum lithium concentration of 2.42 mmol/L. She received diuretics and electrolyte solutions and, after 11 days, she had recovered. Nielsen NB, et al.
