Hepatotoxicity: case report In a longitudinal, population-based cohort study involving 190 patients (aged below 17 years) carried out between January 2011 and August 2018 in Canada, a patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed hepatotoxicity during treatment with mesalazine for inflammatory bowel disease. The patient also showed high GGT levels [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. Author comment: "Among the 8 patients in the high serum GGT levels group who had suspected drug-induced hepatotoxicity. . .mesalazine-induced hepatotoxicity in 1 patient". Chandrakumar A, et al.
