Minutes of the Annual Business Meeting of the Members of the BEHAVIOR GENETICS ASSOCIATION Online Friday, June 26, 2020, 10‑11am (US Eastern)

1. The annual business meeting of the members of the Behavior Genetics Association, a corporation not for profit, duly organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Illinois, United States of America, was convened online, at 11:00am ET on the 26th day of June, 2020. Those attending constituted a quorum and the zoom log provided a record of attendance at the meeting. President Meike Bartels opened the meeting. 2. A moment of silence was observed in note of long-standing member Jim Wilson and Jesen Fagerness, a close collaborator of many members of the BGA community who passed away in 2019, and any other member or collaborator, not mentioned, but dear to the members of the Behavior Genetics Association 3. The Executive committee in collaboration with the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) committee expressed their support to the Black Lives Matter Movement and announced that they are working on a statement and a plan of action to increase inclusion, diversity, and equity and members of the association will be invited to provide feedback and comments. 4. Upon motion duly moved, seconded and carried, the minutes of the 2019 Behavior Genetics Association business meeting were approved as submitted by the previous secretary, Timothy Bates. 5. Upon motion duly moved, seconded and carried, the motion that was communicated to members prior to the meeting that due to difficulties associated with handover during the COVID19 pandemic, the rotation of the executive committee would be postponed for 1 year. 6. The secretary’s report was given by Sarah Medland. By provision of the by-laws of the Association, the Secretary is instructed to submit by mail ballot to the full membership of the Association the names of those nominated to be candidates for offices becoming vacant. This was done electronically via email for the
2020 election. Members were notified of the election by email invitation, and electronic ballots were available to members for 60 days, as per the BGA by-laws. Election to office requires a plurality of those members voting with ties to be broken by lot. Tabulation of the votes received resulted in the election of Lisabeth DiLalla as President-Elect, Jamie Derringer as Treasurer, and Elisabeth Hahn as Member-at-Large representing associate members and Sara Hart as IDEA committee member. Upon motion duly moved, seconded and carried, the newly elected members of the board of directors were approved. Accordingly, the Executive Committee of the Behavior Genetics Association at the close of the 2021 Annual Business Meeting will be: Greg Carey Lisabeth DiLalla Meike Bartels Sarah Medland Jamie Derringer Kristine Marceau Elisabeth Hahn Paige Harden Antti Latvala
