Diabetes insipidus: case report A 29-year-old man developed diabetes insipidus following intentional ingestion of an olanzapine overdose. The man had been taking olanzapine 10mg twice daily since his diagnosis of schizophrenia 4 years previously. He was admitted to the ICU after ingesting 56 olanzapine 10mg tablets in a suicide attempt. Upon admission, he was unconscious, with sinus tachycardia. Oral intake was stopped, and an isotonic solution was started. During the first 24 hours, the man’s urine output was 7190cc. Laboratory investigations revealed a urine density of
