Preface

Since the first edition of this book on optic nerve disorders garnered recognition as one of the best-selling books in neuro-ophthalmology in the world, my close friends encouraged me to embark on another journey of writing to create an improved and updated version. In this second edition, new information on pertinent diagnostic techniques, such as the role of optical coherence tomography (OCT), multifocal visual evoked potential (mfVEP), multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG), neuroimaging, and gen
