Bradycardia and bronchospasm: 5 case reports In a retrospective study of 273 patients conducted between 2012 and 2017, five patients including three children [sexes and exact ages not stated] were described, who developed bronchospasm or bradycardia following the administration of propofol for sedation during colonoscopy. The patients received IV propofol 2.5 mg/kg for sedation during colonoscopy. However, during the procedure, the patients developed complications including bronchospasm (three patients) and bradycardia [two patients; durations of treatment to reactions onset and outcomes not stated].
