Ceftriaxone Biliary pseudocholelithiasis: case report In a retrospective study involving 17 patients conducted at a hospital between April 2013 and March 2017, an 80-year-old man was described, who developed biliary pseudocholelithiasis during treatment with ceftriaxone [route, dosage and indication not stated]. The man, who had been receiving treatment with ceftriaxone, presented with a complaint of right epigastric discomfort. An abdominal CT scan showed various symptoms of biliary pseudocholelithiasis, which included a high density biliary sludge pattern, gallbladder enlargement and fluid-fluid level formation in the common bile duct and gallbladder [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. Author comment: "The incidence of [ceftriaxone]associated biliary pseudolithiasis has been reported to be relatively high". Yoshida R, et al.
