Ciclosporin Medication‐related fibrovascular hyperplasia lesion: case report

A 35-year-old man developed medication‐related fibrovascular hyperplasia (MRFH) lesion during treatment with ciclosporin for immunosuppression as a prevention of graft versus host disease (GVHD). The man, who had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). About after 30 days of HSCT, he developed lesions in the mouth. Clinical examination showed mild depapillation and painless ulcerated lesions on the dorsum of the tongue. He had been receiving ciclosporin as immunosuppression as a prevention of GVHD along with various other drugs. A lesion biopsy finding were consistent with MRFH. Lesions showed significant regression after ciclosporin weaning on day 270 of HSCT. Ballardin BS, et al. Medication-related fibrovascular hyperplasia lesion in tongue: Case report.
