Fatal subdural haematoma in an elderly patient: case report An 80-year-old woman was hospitalised with a traumarelated small non-surgical subdural haematoma, and started receiving enoxaparin sodium [dosage and route not stated] 48–72 hours post-trauma. Almost 2 weeks later, on post-trauma day 15, her condition deteriorated, and a CT scan showed acute expansion of her subdural haematoma and significant midline shift. Her functional status precluded surgery, and she subsequently died. This patient was retrospectively identified. Dudley RR, et al.
