Preface
There is a large volume of literature dealing with convection in porous media, including an excellent book by Nield and Bejan (2013) that covers all relevant topics. However, although the topic of heat convection in rotating porous media is covered there, it is impossible to dedicate much detail in a book covering such a large number of topics. In addition, the topic of isothermal flows in rotating porous media is outside the scope of that book. A deeper reflection into the effects of rotation in porous media is therefore desirable and this is the main purpose of this book. It introduces the reader into the realm of modeling theory in porous media and presents classifications of flow and heat transfer in rotating porous media and their corresponding applications. Then different configurations of theoretical solutions and some experimental results are presented sequentially. The book is anticipated to be of interest to scientific researc
