EDITORIAL

Dear Colleagues: This is the last Editorial for 2020, and the double issue at hand is unusually ‘thick’ and long. The reason is because we want to clear the queue of accepted papers, all accepted papers including accepted Special Issue papers. We have succeeded in doing that. Therefore, JINT will switch to CAP, continuous publication mode, effective with the January 2021 issue. This decision, although challenging, offers several advantages, the most important being that there will be no delays in publishing accepted (in final form) papers. We certainly hope that the readership and authors appreciate this, and that authors will be further encouraged to submit their work to JINT as the timeline to actual publication will be considerably shorter. We are convinced that, long-term, this will pay dividends and that it will enhance our visibility without sacrificing the quality of published papers. I would like to extend a wholeheartedly thank you to all of you, members of the editorial board, the Springer team, my
