Hypoglycaemia: case report In a prospective, observational, diabetes unmet need with basal insulin evaluation (DUNE) study of 355 patients treated between February 2015 and July 2016, a patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed hypoglycaemia during treatment with insulin for type 2 diabetes. The patient, who had been diagnosed with a type 2 diabetes, had received insulin [basal insulin] injection at baseline [dosage and route not stated] for less than 12 months prior to study enrollment (previously initiated group) was enrolled in the study and followed for 12 weeks. The dose of insulin was increased at 12 weeks. However, the therapy course of insulin was complicated by severe hypoglycaemia [time to reaction onset and outcome of ADR not stated].
