Preface
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia and Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), Indonesia, started a joint research program through International Collaborative Research Funding (ICRF) in 2019. This book includes five chapters that summarize some researches of that program which are related to the implementation of information technology and mathematical modelling in solving real-life problems faced by both countries. The results of these researches will benefit both universities and both countries. Chapter 1 discusses a new fuzzy weighted multivariate regression to predict water quality index at Perak rivers in Malaysia. The model is in line with the National Water Quality Standards for Malaysia. It also has great potenti
