Paliperidone Hyperprolactinaemia: case report A 38-year-old woman developed hyperprolactinaemia while receiving paliperidone for schizophrenia. She started receiving paliperidone 9 mg/day while enrolled in an openlabel trial. While receiving the agent over a 9-month-period, the woman’s prolactin levels fluctuated between 228 and 289 ng/mL. Aripiprazole was prescribed to treat her hyperprolactinaemia. Her prolactin levels had decreased to 47 ng/mL one month later. After a schizophrenia relapse, her treatment was changed to clozapine.
