Rice is among the three most important grain crops in the world, and it has a major contribution to fulfill the food needs across the globe. The role of rice crop is inevitable in the current and future global food security. Rice is grown in Asia, Americas, Australia, Europe, and Africa following diverse production practices. Pests and other problems, genotypes, and management practices in rice vary greatly in different parts of the world. Such difference are needed to be highlighted in order to understand and improve the global rice production.
