A l s o , A b i s i n d e p e n d e n t of t e m p e r a t u r e o v e r a g i v e n t e m p e r a t u r e r a n g e , F i g . 3, a n d a g a i n t h e c h a n g e in AS d u e to a c h a n g e in 7" m u s t be zero. H o w e v e r , d u e to t h e e x p e r i m e n t a l l i m i t a t i o n s it is n o t p o s s i b l e to d i r e c t l y d e t e r m i n e AS. If t h e d a t a in F i g . 2 i s c o n s i d e r e d , w h i c h s h o w s t h a t (OH/O T)r* is z e r o in a l l t h e t e m p e r a t u r e r a n g e s i n v e s t i g a t e d , t h e r e f o r e , it is l o g i c a l to a s s u m e t h a t b e t w e e n 0 ~ to 77~ (OH~aT)r* w i l t b e z e r o . If t h i s a s s u m p t i o n i s e m p l o y e d t h e n ~.S is z e r o . F r o m the a n a l y s i s of t h e available data AH = AG, o r if t h e s c a t t e r in t h e d a t a is c o n s i d e r e d t h e n ~ S c a n have a small negative or positive value.
