1 Jobseeker’s Allowance figures have been derived by applying 100% WPLS propor tions to 5% data. This figure is based on Contribution Based only Jobseekers Allowance. All jobseeker’s Allowance statistics were revised in May 2008 following improvements to methodology. 2 The figures for Incapacity Benefit are calculated from 100% counts but are provisional and therefore subject to amendment. 3 From 27th October 2008, new claims to Incapacity Benefit can also be allocated, on incapacity grounds, to the newly introduced Employment and Suppor t Allowance (ESA).
