Abstract For the settlement observation of large-scale buildings, it is necessary to coordinate with the construction sequence; in order to improve the self-adaptive observation accuracy of large-scale building settlement, the settlement self-adaptive observation method of large building based on InSAR mapping is researched. The InSAR mapping parameters are designed by using the compression modulus, Poisson’s ratio, and deformation modulus. InSAR mapping can take into account all the measured settlement data of the building after the main load is applied. Based on this, the adaptive observation regression model for settlement of large-scale building is constructed. Then, the settlement self-adaptive observation web of the large-scale building is laid out. Finally, combined with the self-adaptive observation steps of large-scale building settlement, the self-adaptive observation of large-scale building settlement is realized. The results show that the settlement self-adaptive observation method of large building based on InSAR mapping can reduce the self-adaptive observation error of the large-scale building settlement, so as to improve the precision of the self-adaptive observation of the large-scale building settlement. Introduction In the practice of engineering construction, people have accumulated some experience and lessons on engineering deformation monitoring through monitoring high-rise buildings, large public buildings, and unfavorable geological areas (Lin et al. 2017; Xu et al. 2019). Long-term settlement and deformation pose a great potential threat. Therefore, it is more and more important to effectively monitor and predict the settlement and deformation of buildings during construction and operation. The so-called building settlement monitoring refers to the use of measuring instruments or special instruments, under the action of factors such as load, the settlement of the building, or foundation changes with time (Peduto et al. 2017). Through the monitoring of settlement and its results, the hidden trouble of building quality can be found in time, This article is part of the Topical Collection on Geological Modeling and Geospatial Data Analysis * Genger Li [email protected] 1

which can provide the basis for judging the working state of the building and the measures taken when necessary, and can also accumulate rich practical data for future engineering construction. Moreover, settlement monitoring is helpful to understand the deformation mechanism of foundation, verify relevant design theories and methods, and establish an effective settlement prediction model (Sun et al. 2015; Wang an
