Treprostinil Erythema: case report A 17-year-old boy with pulmonary arterial hypertension received treprostinil 0.6 mg/mL, 12 oral inhalations (72µg) every 6 hours via Optineb-ir. He received 1740µg in one instance by using a face mask. He developed diaphoresis, hypotension and dizziness, and erythema over the central part of his face in a mask-like distribution. Vasodilation secondary to treprostinil was suspected. The erythema gradually resolved over 48 hours. Chu DH, et al. Cutaneous reaction to inhaled treprostinil.
