Haemorrhagic occlusive retinal vasculitis: case report A woman in her 60s [exact age not stated] developed hemorrhagic occlusive retinal vasculitis (HORV) following administration of vancomycin for prophylaxis against endophthalmitis. The woman presented with profound visual acuity loss in her right eye that occurred 1 week following the cataract surgery. The visual acuity was limited to hand motions close to the face. Additionally, she had sluggish pupils. Her cataract surgery was uneventful. During the cataract surgery, she had received intracameral injection of vancomycin 1mg for prophylaxis against endophthalmitis [time to reaction onset not stated]. Diagnosis of HORV was confirmed based on the clinical presentation [outcome not stated]. Oli A, et al.
