ANT Wireless Division of Dynastream (Dynastream Innovations 2014)
The ANT+ Alliance is an open special interest group of companies who have adopted the ANT+ promise of interoperability. The Alliance ensures standardized communications through optimized brand value and partnerships with other top tier products. ANT, ANT+ and the ANT+ Alliance are all managed by the ANT Wireless division of Dynastream Innovations Inc. Established in 1998, Dynastream introduced the first accelerometer-based speed and distance monitor for runners in 2000. In 2003, the wireless protocol ANT was launched, and in 2004 the first ultra low power wireless standard, ANT+ was created. In 2005 integrated PAN solutions were elaborated with Nordic Semiconductor (Nordic Semiconductor 2004). In December 2006, Garmin Ltd, once a valued Dynastream customer, purchased the company. Today, hundreds of companies are members of the ANT+ Alliance, building products across a range of personal area network (PAN) applications, including sports, wellness and home health monitoring.
