It is my great pleasure and honour to introduce this timely new multiauthored monograph Remediation Measures of Radioactively Contaminated Areas, edited by Drs. D. K. Gupta and A. Voronina. The book Remediation Measures for Radioactively Contaminated Areas deals with some specific topical issues related to the recent developments and requirements concerning the safety and protection of the population against radiation exposure due to radionuclides released from areas that were contaminated during the past due to uranium mining and processing or other nuclear activities.
