Sertraline Bleeding: case report

A 51-year-old woman developed bleeding during treatment with sertraline for major depressive disorder [route, dosage, duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. The woman presented for breast biopsy, and she developed an unexpected bleeding. In view of the risk of developing severe re-bleeding or haematoma, the procedure was cancelled. Anamnesis revealed that she had been receiving sertraline for major depressive disorder. The bleeding was suspected to be associated with sertraline therapy. Fernandes LC, et al.
