1990IBMM Conférence to Feature International Speakers, Poster Sessions The upcoming Seventh International Conférence on Ion Beam Modification of Materials, September 9 - 14, 1990, Knoxville, Tennessee, has attracted approximately 500 abstracts, many more than submitted to any previous conférence in the IBMM séries. "Considering the response of the scientific community, this promises to be a very exciting conférence," said co-chair C.W (Woody) White of Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Co-chairing the conférence with White is Bill R. Appleton, also from Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The conférence format has been designed to emphasize the poster sessions, and most of the contributed papers will be presented in the poster sessions. Each half day will consist of a two-hour oral session featuring an international roster of invited talks and a few contributed papers, followed by a two-hour poster session.
