Call for agenda items This is to draw your attention to the possibility of advertising virology meetings, workshops and other activities that may be of interest to virologists at large. The Virology Division News column was designed with this objective in mind and as a platform to discuss issues of general interest, e.g., taxonomy. In the forthcoming VDN publications you will read about changes in nomenclature rules made in Glasgow, new taxonomic initiatives and the activities around the establishment of a World Virus Database. If you have any suggestions, please contact me. M. C. Horzinek Virology Division Editor
