Abstract Leptus (Leptus) guarani sp. n. is described from Brazil based on eight larvae. List of host-parasite associations between Leptus and arthropods in America is given. New hosts for Leptus: Acanthogonyleptes editus, Caldassius nigripe, Gonyleptes gonyleptoidess and Moreiranula mamillata (Opiliones: Gonyleptidae) were found. New and corrected measurements for L. (L.) stolae are given. Keywords Parasitengona . Prostigmata . Taxonomy . New hosts . L. (L.) stolae

Introduction Up to date, 54 larval species of the genus Leptus Latreille, 1796 have been reported from America, collected on 63 identified host species and 18 hosts identified only to the genus or order (Oudemans 1902, 1905, 1910, 1911; Reillo 1989; Southcott 1989a, 1989b, 1992; Fain et al. 1987; Haitlinger,

Up to date, 14 Leptus species have been recorded from Brazil and many undetermined species (Pereira et al. 2016; Haitlinger et al. 2017; Salvatierra and Almeida 2017; Šundić et al. 2017; Jacinavicius et al. 2019) were found free living on plants or associated with different host (Table 2). In this paper we describe the larva of Leptus (Leptus) guarani sp. n. collected from new host: Acanthogonyleptes editus (Rewer, 1943) (Opiliones: Gonyleptidae). Unidentified Leptus were collected from new hosts: Caldassius nigripes Mello-Leitão, 1942, Gonyleptes gonyleptoides (H.E.M. Soares and B. A. Soares, 1945), Moreiranula mamillata Soares, 1944 (Opiliones: Gonyle
