Lack of efficacy: case report A 9-year-old boy exhibited lack of efficacy during treatment with albendazole for hepatic toxocariasis caused by Toxocara canis [route and dosage not stated]. The boy presented to the haematology department after experiencing poorly systemic and subacute abdominal pain of moderate intensity for 15 days. The findings of the physical, haematological, serological and the radiological examinations confirmed the diagnosis of liver damage by the larva migrans digestive toxocara. The boy started receiving albendazole tablet; however, the response was non-observant. Gakosso LGC, et al. The visceral larva migrans caused by toxocara canis: A case report.
