Fatal anaphylaxis: case report A man [age not stated] with an undisclosed penicillin allergy was diagnosed with an upper respiratory tract infection, and received an injection of benzylpenicillin [route and dosage not stated]. Immediately after the injection, he developed sweating and vomiting; he subsequently collapsed. Management of the anaphylactic reaction was unsuccessful [treatments not stated]; the man died.
