Hair hypopigmentation: case report A 16-year-old girl developed hair hypopigmentation after an overdose of chloroquine diphosphate for malaria prophylaxis. She was instructed to take 500 mg/week, but instead she took 500 mg/day for 1 month [route not stated]. Three and a half months after starting the treatment, she developed a band of lighter-coloured hair 3cm from the scalp and was diagnosed with hair hypopigmentation [outcome and treatment not stated].
