Colchicine Acute kidney injury: case report

A 71-year-old man developed acute kidney injury during treatment with colchicine for bilateral knee gouty arthritis. The man, who had chronic kidney disease and diabetes mellitus type 2, was diagnosed with bilateral knee gouty arthritis. He started receiving colchicine [dosage and route not stated]. After 3 doses, colchicine was changed to prednisone due to a 1.3-point increase in his creatinine, suggestive of acute kidney injury [outcome not stated]. Chernoff DJ, et al.
