Various toxicities: 4 case reports In a retrospective study of 51 patients (study period: January 2013 to April 2018), four patients [ages and sexes not stated] were described, who developed mild hepatitis (n=1), short duration of watery diarrhoea (n=1), cutaneous maculopapular skin rash (n=1) or an isolated fever (n=1) following administration of oral cotrimoxazole for bone and joint infection. All patients had undergone surgery [dosage, durations of treatments to reactions onsets and outcomes not stated]. Author comment: "Adverse events were reported in 4 (8%) patients". "Adverse events consisted of a mild hepatitis (values up to 3 times above the normal), a short duration watery diarrhea, a cutaneous maculopapular skin rash and an isolated fever in 1 case each."
