Acute kidney injury and anaemia: case report A 65-year-old man developed acute kidney injury and anaemia during treatment with diclofenac for toothache. The man was hospitalised in emergency condition. His medical history revealed that, he had been receiving treatment with diclofenac tablet 50mg (1-1-1-1-1-1) from 33 days for toothache [route not stated]. Laboratory investigation showed a high level of creatinine and decreased haemoglobin. Based on these findings, he was diagnosed with acute kidney injury and anaemia associated with diclofenac [time to reactions onset not stated]. The man was treated with amlodipine, ondanesetron and tramadol. On day 3 of hospitalisation, his creatinine level decreased and acute kidney injury had recovered. Subsequently, he was discharged with amlodipine and ranitidine for 15 days, and was advised to visit after 15 days for follow-up [not all outcomes stated]. Chandrakar VR, et al.
