Thrombocytopenia: case report A 55-year-old man, who had history of drug-eluting stent placement 4 months prior, presented with chest pain. He was found to have drug-eluting stent thrombosis and underwent coronary artery bypass surgery. On postoperative day 3, he had severe chest pain, hypotension, and complete heart block. He was subsequently diagnosed with heparin-induced thrombocytopenia [route, dosage, duration of therapy to reaction onset and therapeutic indication not stated]. Additionally, his experienced pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis. He received argatroban and warfarin, and recovered. At last follow-up, he was doing well. Gaddam S, et al.
