We would like to dedicate this book to scientists who strive for the highest levels of innovative research, ethics, and translation of science to public health. In memory of their lifetime of work on behalf of behavioral science, we would like to make a special dedication to the following: Martin Fishbein Martin Fishbein achieved the highest rank among academics and made seminal contributions in several areas of psychology including theory development, behavior change research, and communication science. He served as a charter member of the NIMH Initial Review Group (IRG) and was instrumental in establishing the scientific review criteria for this emerging area of research. His intellectual curiosity and vigor lead to pursuit of exciting new avenues of research. In addition, he believed that it is not sufficient to conduct research, but that findings must be used to improve public health. He shaped our thinking about the development of research applications that are reflected in the structure and content of this book. We would like to dedicate this book to him in memory of his lifetime of achievements on behalf of behavioral science. Victoria Levin Victoria Levin was a long time advocate for children’s mental health.
