Imatinib Lichenoid drug eruption in an elderly patient: case report A 77-year-old man developed a lichenoid drug eruption during treatment with imatinib [dosage, route, and duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated] for gastrointestinal stromal tumours. He presented with a lichenoid drug eruption on his extremities and trunk. Histopathological examination revealed some eosinophils at the dermal-epidermal junction and lichenoid lymphocytic infiltration. His lesions improved after stopping imatinib. They re-appeared at a low dose of the drug (300 mg/d). A dose of 200 mg/d controlled the lesions, along with corticosteroid and antihistamine treatment. Lee J H, et al.
