Property Right Theory and Governance Models in Strategy Introduction by Anna Grandori Bocconi University,Viale Isonzo 23, 20135 Milan, Italy E-mail: [email protected]
The Asher, Mahoney and Mahoney (AMM) paper contributes to an emerging area of debate at the border between economics and management, which is aiming at enriching and extending models of governance on both sides. The commentaries have two related origins: the commentators have in turn worked in that emerging area of interdisciplinary debate on governance (Blair 1996, 2004; Grandori 2004; Foss 2005), and acted as reviewers and editor of the AMM paper. We were all aware from the outset that part of the points raised by the paper and by the reviewers would have been ÔdebatableÕ issues. Thus, we revised the comments as well, so as to make the whole discussion available as a JMG ÔViews & DebatesÕ set. We hope that other voices may join, and propose rejoinders or related works to be publishable in future issues. Notes 1
Nicolai Foss is warmly thanked for his reviewing work, which could not be turned into a commentary format in time for this issue
