Acute kidney injury: case report A 16-year-old boy developed acute kidney injury after receiving IV anti-D Rh0 immunoglobulin for idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura [dosage and duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated]. He developed coagulpathy, intravascular haemolysis, and renal failure. He had dark brown urine, and anuric renal failure was prolonged; he required haemodialysis [outcome not stated]. Author comment: "In this case report we describe a teenager who presented with ITP and rapidly developed severe anuric acute kidney injury associated with mild intravascular hemolysis and coagulopathy."
