Foreword
It gives me immense pleasure to write this foreword for my dear friend Dr. K Mohan Iyer for his book Clinical Examination in Orthopedics. This book has been written stepwise, enumerating various aspects of the importance of clinical examination derived by laying one’s hands on the affected parts. A thorough clinical examination can help us to arrive at a tentative differential diagnosis of the condition and hence help in investigations with numerous further tests which are relevant to the given condition. Handling a given case in this way is far more important than the diagnosis of the condition, and this comes with practicing the same approach many times. Learning this is essential for anyone embarking on a career in orthopedics.
