EXPERIMENT Figure IA shows the schematic procedure that we have used for the assembly of colloidal particles.[5] A packing cell was formed with a square frame of photoresist sandwiched between two glass substrates and held together with binder clips. The photoresist film (Microposit 1075, Shipley, MA) of -12-gm thickness (H) was spin-coated onto the bottom substrate and then exposed to UV light for -85 s through a photomask of the square frame.
