Allergy: case report A woman received suxamethonium chloride [age at reaction onset, dosage and route not stated] for anaesthesia. She then developed a drug reaction that required epinephrine [adrenaline] treatment and admission to the ICU [time to reaction onset not stated]. She subsequently recovered with no lasting adverse effects. A skin prick test to suxamethonium chloride revealed a false negative result, because she was concurrently receiving antipsychotic medications, which could have had antihistaminic effects.
