Exacerbation of skin ulcer: case report In a study of 38 patients, conducted to compare the gene-expression modification profiles among tocilizumab, tofacitinib and baricitinib for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed exacerbation of skin ulcer during treatment with tocilizumab [route and dosage not stated] for RA; however, the activity of RA was absolutely under control. It was determined that the exacerbation of skin ulcer occurred due to the suppression of genes involved in wound healing after tocilizumab treatment [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated].
