Anomalies are with respect to the 1961-90 averaging period. Maximum temperatures generally close to or slightly above average across the UK. Minimum temperatures generally around 1.0 deg C above average but close to average across much of Scotland. Rainfall ranging from around 150% of average across parts of central and eastern England to 50% of average across parts of eastern Scotland. Sunshine ranging from over 130% of average across parts of eastern Scotland to less than 70% across parts of north-west Scotland and south-east England.

1 District values for each element are computed using all available climate stations, excluding rooftop sites for minimum air temperature. The values in the table may not be compatible with other time series (eg. Central England Temperature, England and Wales Rainfall). 2 Highest maximum and lowest minimum air temperatures for each district are determined by calculating 95 percentiles. 3 Raindays are the number of days during which the total precipitation is at least 0.2mm.
