Foreword
Release of industrial and agricultural chemicals has resulted in widespread environmental pollution. The organic and inorganic compounds are released during the production, storage, transport, and use of these chemicals into the environment every year, as a result of various anthropogenic activities. While a few of them are naturally occurring but released in large quantities as a result of developmental activities, majority are foreign chemical substances that are not naturally produced in the biological milieu and have been given the name “xenobiotic” compounds.
