Infliximab Urticaria, pruritus and warm feeling: 2 case reports In a retrospective cohort study performed between June and December 2017, involving 179 patients with inflammatory bowel disease, two patients [ages and sexes not stated] were described, of whom, one patient developed urticaria and pruritus, while the other patient experienced a feeling of warmth during a 2-hour infusion of infliximab [Remicade; dosages and times to reactions onsets not stated]. Subsequently, the rate of the infliximab infusion was decreased for the patient who reported feeling warm [outcomes not stated]. Author comment: "Nonetheless, there were two 2-h infusions from two different patients with documented reactions. In one of the two infusions, the patient developed both urticaria and pruritus. Another patient reported feeling warm during the infusion causing the nurse to decrease the infusion rate." Ma D, et al.
