Infliximab Infusion reaction: case report A 45-year-old man developed an infusion reaction while receiving infliximab [Remicade]. The man had been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, and had a history of multiple ileostomies with multiple complications including peristomal pyodermal gangrenosum (PG). He started receiving infliximab [dosage and route not stated] but experienced an infusion reaction [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated] and was switched to adalimumab. He received mild benefit although he continued to experience severe PG, requiring corticosteroids. He later received methotrexate, which worsened his symptoms significantly [details not stated].
