Clozapine withdrawal Oculogyric crisis: case report An 18-year-old girl began receiving clozapine 25 mg/day, titrated to 300 mg/day over a 4-week period, for behavioural disorders. Six weeks after clozapine initiation, she inadvertently ran out of clozapine, and could not refill her prescription in time. Within 48 hours of her last dose, she had an acute oculogyric crisis. The crisis was characterised by her eyeballs rolling upwards for 60–90 minutes at a time, and would recur every 2–4 hours. Clozapine was restarted at the original dosage. Her oculogyric crisis dramatically resolved. Mendhekar DN, et al. Isolated oculogyric crisis on clozapine discontinuation.
