he Collaborative Conference on 3D & Materials Research (3DMR) will be held on June 27–July 1, 2011, at the Jeju island, South Korea. This collaborative conference series is established to enable technological developments in the field of three-dimensional (3D) research and to further the goal of unifying 3D research in engineering, physics, materials science,
chemistry, as well as psychology and neuroscience. 3DMR, as the inaugural conference in this series chaired by Eun-Soo Kim of Kwangwoon University, South Korea and co-chaired by Gregory Salamo, University of Arkansas, USA, offers materials researchers the opportunity to discuss and exchange information across the frontiers in their fields and network with
scientists on 3D research for potential interdisciplinary collaborations. Abstracts must be received no later than March 27th, 2011. The conference is endorsed by the Materials Research Society. More information is available on the conference Web site www.acknol.org/3dmr.

he 10th International Conference on Materials Chemistry (MC10) will be held July 4–7, 2011 at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. The “MC” conference series has provided a showcase for materials chemistry for almost two decades, and is the flagship event of the Royal Society of Chemistry's Materials Chemistry Division. Peter M. Budd of the
University of Manchester is chair, and Matt J. Rosseinsky the University of Liverpool is co-chair. The five main themes of energy and sustainability, advanced technologies & nanomaterials, life and health, soft matter, and crystalline solids will be distributed across four parallel sessions.
